Post icon Add falling snowflakes to your images

A little festive Flash and fun … add falling snowflakes to your images.

I have made a zip file with all you need, including the Flash file and a full example for you – DOWNLOAD. To get your image working, you will need to change the image URL and set the Flash size to your image size – don’t forget to change it in both the <embed> and <param> tags. You can also set the number of snowflakes, which will default to 200 if not included.

Any problems or thoughts then please leave a comment.

<param name="flashvars" value="myImage=yourImage.jpg&snowflakes=100" />

<embed src="snowy-image.swf" flashvars="myImage=yourImage.jpg&snowflakes=100"...

The original falling snow code has been in my possession for a long time, so I will endeavour to find the author and post my thanks – James
