If you sell on-line, whether large or small and you despatch goods then you definitely need to be clued up on the Distance Selling Regulations. If you don’t then you might get a nudge from the Office of Fair Trading and some unhappy customers. Basically the act provides the customer 7 days as a cool-off period for which they can notify you that they intend to return the goods and then a further period in which to actually do so. As the seller you are also obliged to refund the full amount including the postage cost originally charged and without additional charges. You can read more info on the OFT website.

We recently worked with Move Ahead Design to produce a website for Bliss Crowd, offering a dating party service in the London City area. The site features use of jQuery to provide nice touches and assist in navigation of events, is powered by ATOM CMS and integrates with PAYPAL to offer ticket sales. You can visit the site here: www.blisscrowd.com

Bliss Crowd Homepage

Andrew Davison of Move Ahead Design said:

“We are happy to have found such a great design company in Realsing Designs. We were looking for a design partner based in Kent that we could trust to work with our clients. We worked together on a few smaller projects and were blown away, both with the quality of design and the professional level of service offered.

The first major project together was for BlissCrowd.com. They run weekly singles parties in exclusive locations in central London and were looking for a slick websites to attract young professional integrated with an event booking system. Realising Designs took command of the project from the very start and customised an AtomCMS installation to handle bookings.

The site was launched last week and the client had her first paying customer within 24 hours, let’s hope we see big things from her in the future.”

Move Ahead Design, another Kent based company, offer website design and development service along with a new range of services helping companies make maximum impact on their customers using traditional SEO and PPC methods along side creating and leveraging a presence on the major social networks.
