We were pleased to hear our photograph of Sovereign Hill, Victoria, Australia is to be used in a travel guide.

Realising Designs is proud to see our latest project go live at kentunsigned.com. Its a great place for unsigned bands to show off their music, vote for top songs and see a monthly chart. Bands can also add gigs, videos and much more. The client is also launching a digital radio station called First Play Radio, playing your songs and telling people where they can see you play.

My latest personal project is to re-create the great “The Tower of Babel” by Pieter Bruegel (1563). I am not trying to copy exactly, but rather paint in Photoshop by reference. I am using a reference image 1061px x 800px and creating the artwork to at least A4 at print resolution. I thought it might be interesting to show how it builds up and whether it turns out to be a success.

A guide to getting the right photos for your site

With graphics used correctly a site can be punchy to make the site memorable to the user, assure them that you are professional and appeal to them aesthetically. Over-do it and the page will be half loaded before they click else where and you lose out.
